My name is Meek Vernon, and I am originally from Jamaica. I am now a proud citizen of the USA and have built a career in the security field. However, my true passion has always been in the tourism industry. I began my journey in hospitality in 1994 at the Wyndham Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where I worked as a bar porter in the food and beverage department.

During my time at Wyndham, I discovered the joy of meeting guests from around the world and sharing our vibrant Jamaican culture with them. It was always a pleasure for me to go above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome and appreciated. Whether serving drinks by the pool bar, taking food orders at the grill, or singing Bob Marley songs at the terrace bar, I was dedicated to creating a warm and friendly atmosphere that made visitors want to return to Jamaica time and time again.

My experiences at Wyndham inspired me to start my own company, Island Wander Tours, with a mission to provide exceptional service to travelers exploring Jamaica.
